The CMF Art Show
We've got some serious artistic talent around here.
We love our local artists. When you see their work, we think you'll love them, too, which is why we host an amazing art show—in partnership with The Art-Full Barn—that runs the entire 9 days of the Chattahoochee Mountain Fair every year.

The art show is a chance for local artists to display their work. You'll find a wide variety at the show including ceramic face jugs, beautiful landscapes, complex linework, folk paintings, abstract art and much more.

We invite all of you to visit the art show at the Chattahoochee Mountain Fair this year. While you're there, don't forget to vote on your favorite pieces.

Interested in signing up for the art show? Here's what you need to know:
Categories:
Dry Media: Pencil, color pencil, charcoal, pastel and earth pigments
Canvas and Board: Oil, acrylic, encaustic and mixed media on a 2D canvas or board
Water and Ink: Watercolor, ink, markers, and any media thinned to watercolor or ink consistency and applied to paper
Three-Dimensional: Sculpture, pottery, carving, turned wood and glass
Fiber Art: Embroidery, felt, weaving and basketry
If your artwork doesn’t fit neatly into a particular category, we’ll figure it out. Bring it!
Prizes:
Best of Show $200 and a ribbon
1st Place $50 and a ribbon
2nd Place $25 and a ribbon
3rd Place $10 and a ribbon

Rules and Instructions:

Entry fee is $15 per category. You may enter your work in as many categories as you like.

No more than 3 entries per category per artist.

All entries must have been completed within the last 5 years.

No previous winning work of the CMF art show may be re-entered.

All entries in every category except “Three-Dimensional” and “Fiber” must be framed or attached securely to a rigid hanging surface and must have a secure, strong hanging wire on back. Artwork without hangers, saw-tooth hangers, eyelets / loop hangers or adhesive hangers will be rejected. Wire should be attached BEEFORE your entry is brought to the fairgrounds.

Drop off all entries on Thursday, September 10 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm.

Pick up all entries on Sunday, September 20 between 1:00 and 3:00 pm Picking up your artwork before pickup day may disqualify the work from winning prizes.
One more quick note:
Not only do we show off local artists' work, we also show off local artists working. The Art-Full Barn sets up demonstrations every night of the fair so the public can see how this artwork is produced. If you're an artist who'd be interested in demonstrating, contact Gail Kimsey at (706) 754-1247 to set up a time. During their demo time, artists are encouraged to bring additional pieces of work to sell, so this is a chance to meet customers and make fans while showing off your talent.
