2011 CHATTAHOOCHEE MOUNTAIN FAIR PAGEANTS

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 10, 2011


Our pageants will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at the Habersham County Fair Grounds on Old Toccoa Hwy. Clarkesville. The pageant will begin at 10:00 am and continue through the division for grade 8. Each division will begin as soon as the younger group is finished. It is very hard to anticipate the starting times. So please be here and be registered in time. We will not hold a division for any girl not present when the division is called. We have a very small dressing room. Please try and do as much as possible at home.
Our Teen Division and Miss Division will begin at 7:00 PM. Interviews will be scheduled in the afternoon. Time will depend on number of contestants.
PRACTICE will be just be a walk through on Thursday, September 8 from 5:00 to 6:30. It is not necessary but will be helpful for child just to see and experience walking on the stage.
Practice for the Teen and Miss Division is a MUST. It will begin at 6:30 with the Teen Division and then the Miss Division at 7:00. Please plan for the Miss contestants to be here at least 1 to 1 ½ hours.
FEES are $65.00 if paid by August 20. After August 20 the fees are $75.00 and must be paid by cashier’s check. No entry will be accepted after September 3. If your check is returned for any reason, you will be contacted and expected to bring entrance fee plus $15.00 cash only to practice on Thursday.
Younger girls can wear either a short or long dress. We do not take off points for not wearing the right socks or the wrong color of shoes. Dress, hair, shoes, and jewelry just should be age appropriate. No make-up allowed. We are a natural pageant. Teens and Miss will wear a long gown. They will also need an interview outfit. They will appear on stage also in this outfit. The Miss Division will need a swim suit. It should be tasteful and can be a one or two piece suit. Make-up and jewelry is up to the girl.
PHOTOS will be available by a professional photographer. These can be taken before or after the competition. The queens and their court should report to the photographer to have photos taken immediately after crowning. These will be sent to the paper. We can ask for them to be released by the paper but have no control on how or when they are printed.
PHOTOGENIC division will be available in each age group. This is an optional category. If you wish to enter, please send pictures with the registration. The pictures do not have to be professional. They can be 4x6, 5x7, or 8x10. We will do our best to not misplace them but we can not be responsible for any lost photos. Please ask for your pictures when you register on Saturday. They will be judged by a professional photographer before the pageant.
AGE DIVISIONs will be determined after all registrations are received. The decision will be made by the pageant committee and is final. If your daughter won a division last year, she can compete again this year. This does not apply to Teen and Miss Division.
